Who are we?

The Board of Trustees comprises members of Gordon’s family and friends as well as several others who are active within the field of Scottish traditional music.  There are currently 12 trustees, 8 of whom have been trustees from the creation of the Trust in 2006.

What do we do?

To further the aims of the Trust, the Trustees are committed to:

  • increase opportunities for musicians working to the highest standards and in innovative ways
  • strengthen the traditional music culture of Scotland
  • increase opportunities for young people to participate in traditional music
  • increase audiences for traditional Scottish music

The Trustees have an annual general meeting in Spring each year, with ad hoc meetings as required, and communicate regularly via an email discussion list.  There is also an Awards sub-group who meet to discuss and decide on funding applications.
